Ownership

Daily Mail and General Trust.svgThe Daily Mail:

The Daily Mail is owned by a company called DMGT or Daily Mail and General Trust, and the obviously own The Mail on Sunday as well. Obviously the title are linked together by putting 'Mail' in their name. Most people know that the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday are linked together as they are by the same company. They don't own any other newspaper companies but they did used to own a share in Zoopla, the estate agents but they sold their 40% share in the business in 2014.

The Guardian:

The Guardian is owned by Scott Trust Limited or STL. As well as The Guardian they also are owners of The Observer which is a smaller newspaper. the titles are some what linked together as they are similar kinds of names. Other than The Guardian and The Observer, the Scott Trust Limited don't own anything else.

The Leicester Mercury:

The Leicester Mercury is owned by a company called Trinity Mirror. As well as the Leicester Mercury they also own the Daily Mirror, The Sunday Mirror and many local newspapers. The titles are some what linked together but the Mirror links in with the owners name.
