How Teenagers are presented

In this image it shows to young teenagers exchanging a packet with pills. The article is about drugs and how teenagers go to school high on drugs. In this article it stated that they did a survey to find out how many teenagers had gone to school high at least once. the results they found were that 1/3 of teenagers who had taken drugs had actually attended school or work high. This picture represents teenagers in a bad way, it shows two young Males exchanging drugs but they have used the stereotype of young drug dealers with their hood up in a tracksuit. Obviously this isn't something that is a positive subject but they do play down on teenagers and almost make it seem like all teenagers are doing this and that this is how teenagers are. The attitude of this piece is almost attacking teenagers and making them look bad because of a small minority of teenagers take drugs. Their target audience is more than likely adults because it is stating facts and showing up teenagers like someone telling your parents the bad things you've done. In conclusion I think this piece is attacking teenagers and making it seem like all teenagers take drugs when in fact they do not it is a small minority of them.

In this story a group of 20 teenagers had attacked two barge owners as they passing through the canals. No arrests have been made as it was hard to identify the attackers as they put there hoods over their faces to hide their identity. In this picture it makes the teenagers look intimidating and you can tell that they are up to no good. The images are there to show that the teenagers are disturbing peace and using antisocial behaviour. They use phrases like "Imagine someone jumping into your back garden" and "It could have been serious". These phrases show that the attitude toward the teenagers are angry and upset as the barge owners have been a victim to antisocial behaviour. I think these attitudes are fair because the teenagers were definitely in the wrong as they invaded their privacy. The stereotypes that are used are that all teenagers are the same when there not this is only a small minority of them. The audience is obviously adults because they are discriminating younger people when it was only a small group of teenagers not the whole population of them.

There is no actual picture for this article but the title is "Teenagers' pea sized brains. this article is very discriminating towards teenagers as a whole. The common stereotype in this article is that all teenagers are the same. The article is about how teenagers abuse alcohol and how that teenagers are all lazy. The attitudes towards teenagers are hard to explain it is like the article is there to embarrass teenagers but it also feels like disappointment towards teenagers. I feel the attitudes are not fair because not all teenagers are lazy or alcohol abusers, most teenagers are actually switched on and hard workers. i feel the main audience is adults because it being biased towards adults and how they have to do everything for teenagers when thats not exactly true. I feel this article is very discriminating and showing how adults see teenagers but in actual fact most teenagers are switched on and can do most things for themselves.

In this article it is talking about a tragic accident between some teenagers which ended up in there deaths. The picture shows where the collision happened. The attitudes in this article are sympathetic because of the tragedy that occurred. They aren't using any stereotypes in this article which is good because it should me a memorable piece dedicated to the families. i think the audience are definitely adults and teenagers o make them aware and also to get sympathy and charity to the families. This was a tragic accident and for those who were involved have definitely
been remembered by this piece as it is a very sympathetic piece to the families

In this article it is saying how weed does not affect a teenagers IQ. It is not saying weed is a good thing at all but it is stating how scientists in york found out that it does not affect the teenagers IQ. The attitude in this piece seems like the writer was surprised but still angry at the fact weed is is still a bad thing in the communities of younger people. i think these attitudes are fair because it may not affect their IQ but it does affect them in other ways like their mental health and their behaviour. the common stereotype in this article is that all teenagers smoke weed when in actual fact it is a small group of teenagers that smoke it. The audience would have to be adults because they are discriminating teenagers so it would be mostly adults but mabye a few teenagers would find this piece interesting.
